Sounds like your homework eh??

1. c, use a 1 phase induction motor

2. a, permanent magnet dc motor

3. d, 3 phase induction motor

4. c, 1 phase induction motor

I don't know what is meant by a 'universal' motor?

Anyone else?

Universl motor?

I came across one on the planet Tharg once but the connector was not Terra compatable... input voltage range 1pico volt to 10giga volts virtual outputshaft with thought controlled speed input.

The antimatter output bearing was shite.

I think a universal motor refers to a motor that can run on dc or ac. It has field windings, armature windings and a commutator, in contrast to a dc motor with a permanent magnet field.

Hi electroman motor 1 should be a universal motor which I think is probably the same as the universl motor here on earth. Not to sure as to how it works on Copernicus 12 as I haven't got there yet. However am trying to get there for the summer Hols

Big question is should we really be doing students homework for them? especially when they cant spell EVEN!

Maybe the stepper motor is in there to trick students into matching it to the escalator?

1. Universal motor - used in most household and portable tool appliances/but only machines marked AC/DC can be used on both due to slight, but critical differences during construction

2. Permanent magnet motor

3. 1Ph or 3Ph induction motor

4. 1Ph induction motor
