That's the big mystery. There are many of them, too.

I suspect that they are an exposed under layer of Ceres that has yet to dull. What dulls them, maybe comet dust. Why are these layers getting exposed, maybe tectonic effects from Jupiter and closer bodies in the asteroid belt. They don't seem to show an impact pattern.

That's my WAG.

Ceres is quite a ways from the sun, which means it's pretty dark there. The image has to be lightened to see detail, so what is brighter than the average looks like a light when the image is brightness compensated. Digital images can be tricky as we all learned from the white and gold dress. (or was it blue and black?)

Yes, this is certainly an enhanced image. At a minimum from a much more photo sensitive camera than our eyes capturing the image. If our eyeballs viewing this it would probably resemble a black bear hiding in an abandoned coal mine. Our eyeballs have do have an astonishingly large dynamic range of light we can directly perceive but there are limits.

The bright spots are the EDC parties. Extraterrestrial Daisy Carnival. Pictures below.

See the astronaut type of suit of the new population!

Look at the special breathing apparatus in her mouth!

And the genetically modified winged creatures!

Human hybrid cloning too!

More evidence of the GREYS. Look at the large black eyes and the breathing system!

Now, the ultimate evidence!!!!!!!!

I like having an atmosphere too but I hear the some studies in California have linked it to being a possible cause of cancer and to being a strong contributor to global climate change therefore recommend we should remove it at once.

I am thinking that California is a possible cause of cancer. Maybe we should remove IT at once.
