07/12/2015 12:17 AM

The administrators need to do something to remove all kinds of discussions on so many posting related to male enhancement drug etc. This is an engineering web site. See how you can prevent future postings like this automatically.

I'm not an administrator, but the popularity of CR4 makes it a prime target for spammers.

Spammers have people who do nothing but figure ways to break into popular websites such as CR4.

There's nothing wrong with CR4.

Several ways, which should be fairly quick and easy to implement, have been suggested for fixing this. The lack of action has not been explained.

How do you know it's a lack of action?

There are no full time monitors assigned to Cr4, it's only part time, and voluntary duty as well, as I understand it....So spam gets deleted at irregular intervals, usually in the AM....at some time in the future that may change, but until then we must endure....

Maybe the bona fide advertisers could exert some pressure. Surely they would not want their legitimate activities tarnished by association with sleazeballs.

"We must endeavor to persevere".

- Dan George, as Lone Watie, from "The Outlaw Josey Wales" (1976)

Or, see the full version here:

Endeavor To Persevere - George Wootton - PoemHunter.com

"When best-laid plans have fallen to waste
and frustration abounds in their former place,
when failure looms with doubts and fears
we must endeavor to persevere!

When sons and daughters from God rebel
and the paths they follow lead straight to hell
your fervent prayers God does not hear

pledge to endeavor to persevere."

when spam awaits when you come here

you must endeavor to persevere.

I have enjoyed CR4 for many years, they can be ignored, but judgment by association is a problem? I believe in free speech, but the forum taken over by clones, I think, will lead to the same problem. Input from the regular members is excellent and I think that anyone with any common sense will stick with us.

Regards JD

I recently posted a suggestion on this subject (Breakfast with CR4). SavvyExacta gave a very good explanation of the CR4 administration is trying to deal with this problem.

I think that they do a very good job of policing this forum, given the resources they have available. Weekends seem to be when the problem is most obvious, but they want their weekends too.

My thoughts still lean towards this regarding spammers. Now all we need to do is decrypt the messages.
