As progressive as Saudi Arabia appears in anything published, there probably exists, some code governing the dimensions you seek.

You have the contract. You should be contacting the proper building authorities in Saudi Arabia for which standards apply. This is your job, not ours. I warn you, the relevant document maybe in Arabic, not English.

Your first course of action should be to contact the transformer manufacturer and ask them for the detailed specifications regarding the following:

  • Exact dimensions
  • Interior or exterior installation?
  • Required cooling or venting?
  • Fire proofing if installed inside the building

They will be able to get you all that information and you should already know that if you are an electrical contractor.

You're going to buy them, ask for technical data along with the quotations. That way you'll have someone else do that job for you; and most important, someone else to blame when the 2 no's of 1500KVA transformers don't fit 'cause they're bigger than specified.

Oh GOD, PLEASE hire a competent consultancy firm to do this job for you. There is more to designing a residential transformer room than physical size.

If you don't even know how to find out how large a suitable transformer is (and based on your previous posts) I seriously doubt you are capable of doing the job yourself without serious help.

Get a competent consultancy firm to do the design for you, that is their job.

"could i use nomal copper/aluminium conductor,XLPE insulated ,armoured cable VFD application or not."

"what is the value i have to design & why.kindly suggest me."

It's time to quit your day job, and take your act on the road. Maybe a song and dance.

First you should inform type of Transformer.Indoor I preseume will be Dry Type cast resein type transformer.Get Dimesnsions and then see the saudi has any code for Installation and then proceed.ABB has a factory in Saudi and they can help you with dimensions.Incidentally you have not mentioned Primary and secondary voltage

The size (footprint) of the transformer(s) is totally dependent on type of transformer selected for use, the efficiency of the transformer, and the manufacturer's design standard.

It is imperative that you contact the selected transformer manufacturer (OEM) for dimensions, ambient environmental considerations/requirements, cooling requirements, and enclosure requirement details.

Be careful of equipment de-rating by the OEM which can affect the efficiency of the transformer during high load conditions.

If you do not fully comprehend and understand how to interpret the transformer DATA, it is in your best interest to hire an outside consulting specialist to provide critical input.

The cost to consult with competent, knowledgeable engineer(s) is more than worth the risk of exposure to possible transformer failure especially when installed inside of an occupied building.

Transformer manufacturers have this information at the tips of their fingers, and telephone calls will invoke its arrival. <...We...> need to begin commercial enquiries!

Building a room for substation in a residential complex has to confirm to the safety standards of the locality , town or country where it is to be constructed. Basic requirement is the safety standards and will also depend on the type of building and the end use. The size of the room depends on the safety Clarence and type of transformer ( Dry type or oil filled transformer ) weather the transformer room should include the switch room also or weather it is separate. You should get the help of an Electrical consultant who is conversant with Saudi Arabian safety rules better located there.

The <...we...> may well have done this elsewhere previously. One might start with previous designs and clone/adapt them as it is rarely necessary to reinvent the proverbial wheel.
