Thanks.

I'd prefer to be voted GA's strictly on the merits of the answer.

Not as dues paid.

But, thanks, anyway.

Preparing the drawing is pretty straightforward for an average Draftsperson.

However, in order to do the drawing some calculations giving an indication of the material and the type of release is a prerequisite. There are consultant practitioners specialising in this type of work and a Google search will reveal them, if, indeed, such an individual is not already to hand in the <...Petroleum Industry...> in question. However, <...Petroleum Industry...> facilities will already have established standards for this sort of thing, so consult a suitable Mentor locally.

  • Bear in mind, always, that if a Zone 1 is large, the facility has a major materials containment problem that requires addressing immediately on safety grounds as well as economics. The UK's Health and Safety Executive will prosecute if an individual is required to be in a Zone 1.

5 second internet search revealed:

http://www.r-stahl.com/fileadmin/Dateien/ex-zeitschrift/2010/en/06Classification_en.pdf

Also, did a search on LinkedIn for someone with skills in your region that you could possibly hire, found this guy in 10 seconds...

The above are not endorsements of any kind, I don't know them, I don't work for them, and I never hired them... just results from a quick internet search.

Sorry no, not from me.

Here's why. Given your previous posts (and you sound like a consultant) you are asking broad advice from us on how to classify hazardous areas because you don't know and are not trained.

http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/100603

Did you even take my advice and purchase a copy of Do you have a copy of IEC 60079.10.1?

Please desist from performing this work until you are properly trained and qualified in this most dangerous field of design. Take a course or seminar or something (whatever is common over in India for this sort of level of training).

We have to draw the line at some point in time, so here's mine.

Damn, if I knew this was a systemic issue with the OP and this wasn't their first go-around on the topic, I wouldn't have invested the time (albeit minutes) on my above reply.

(I really need to start looking as Poster's previous posts before I reply to some of these)

As many of us do it is easy to ignore due to time or just plain forget, to go back into a poster's history and get as much of an idea about the poster as possible to help build up a picture of who they are and what they are trying to do.

This can easily change the direction of a thread, outing repeat disguised homework questions, carefully disguised spam and other more insidious things (for example questions by seemingly unqualified operators regarding critical operation of real world power plant turbines or substations).
