Hey! Maybe that is where all of the aliens are coming from?

If they would decide upon signs of life from us to come down here, we are safe for at least 1300 years. (before we even draw their attention)

Naw mate, we exhibit signs of life every day. The problem is the aliens are looking for signs of intelligence and they're having a real hard time these days locating any on this planet.

And are they saying that they do not know what is made of .... did I hear someone say that it is 30% gold?! I wonder if that might entice some to bypass Mars and head off to Earth 2.0. Oh for a bit more orbital spin.

...then it is about 1300 years before Earth's earliest radio transmissions arrive there and could possibly be interpreted there as "we are not alone" (whatever "we" means in this context) and 2700 years before "Hi, there" comes back. Which is a relief, really.

I still think a "Hi there" reply would be a lot better than a reply of "YO YO YO WASUP"

I suspect that creatures there will have to be extremely strong with massive bones, or be very tiny (like a mouse or a shrew), in order to overcome the 2G gravitation compared to Earth's G. Have you known of anyone who ever tried being upright and walking at 2G? I think the bones will give way in the feet. This effect might be serious enough to prevent a bipedal mammal from evolving there. So much for finding our long-lost cousins. With a very thick(er) atmosphere than Earth, it could be easier for flight to evolve?

That leads me to (probably a foolish one) prediction of a quadrapedal, winged mammal evolving on Earth 2.0, but probably not advanced in the sense of written language. They have had more time to evolve, so perhaps they communicate other than verbally, but there needs to be a learning vehicle (as writing) to pass knowledge down to the next generations.
