07/24/2015 3:44 AM

Hi, Can anyone give me an example of an 'active' Safety Critical Equipment postponement procedure as where I work we do not have them and need to have them asap.

The only way these can be provided is for a procedure to be written for and approved by the management team at the facility to which they relate. It is the approval/authorisation that is critical, as it underlines the business decision that is the foundation for the procedure.

  • Things always happen <...asap...["as soon as possible"]>. New Year's Eve 2065 is certainly <...p...>, for example, making the concept totally meaningless. Using <...asap...> in most project management programs places the task at the back of the queue, as things that take higher priority, i.e. those with must start dates, must end dates and critical path dependencies, come first.

It is the format of such a form I am interested in, I am a Site Manager and want to create a 'template' of such forms that relevant information can be captured when completing such a form, should they be required.

No-one in this forum is stopping that from taking place. However, such a procedure will be facility- and installation-specific, and neither the facility nor the installation can be seen from here.

Just write down what needs to happen! ASAP!

If you don't know how to do that HIRE A SAFETY EXPERT, ASAP!

You are, after all, A Site Manager.

Just put up a sign saying "Free Beer Tomorrow"; or substitute "Procedure" for "Free Beer". This will befuddle most bureaucrats, and you'll be off the hook.

Check the website of your local OH&S enforcement agency.

There may be some guidelines or even forms available. Some agencies even have consulting services for sale.

Raise a PO request for their services.
