Google something like "Ethernet barcode reader", and you'll probably get millions of hits, and thousands of suppliers eager to sell you one.

You need a text scanner pen (e.g. Scanmarker $80, IRISPen™ $99, no recommendations implied). There are lots on the market some a lot cheaper than this. Most connect to a USB port. Then you need to set up Excel to accept data from a remote input port rather than the keyboard (see Excel manual). It is best to do this as a macro so that you can toggle from keyboard to remote and back with just a function key press. Use the PC cursor to highlight the field where you want the text to go. Brush the scanner wand over your coupon. If there is other text close to what you want to read it is a good idea to put a mask over the coupon so that only the text that you need is showing through a window cutout. Means that you can be less precise when brushing the pen and will probably speed up data input. Caution, most text scanners don't like hand written lettering or obscure fonts. Take a few coupons to the store when you buy, get them to give you a demo so you can check that you get repeatable results.
