Ferromagnetic Copper?

Absolutely very interesting idea.

Wow! Maybe we will soon be able to eliminate the laminations in motors and thereby significantly reduce weight as well as motor physical size. (Quite a cost savings when you think about it.)

Will this be accomplished by "doping" of the copper wire during the refining process or during the extruding process?

It's not nice to fool Mother Nature.

Properties of the matter changes from restructuring and modifying the balance of forces. This is where physics plays a great role in modifying the behavior of matter without altering the Chemistry.
