I have the answer for you, but your email address came back as "undeliverable".

Sorry, I'll try again later.

What does the specification supplied by the party who is paying for this panel say?

In my world, this would be the overriding concern, and if the spec was not specific on this point then I'd likely get on the phone and ask them. If they don't want to put a figure on it, then you need to know what sort of lengths of circuit your panel is going to be expected to cope with, what currents are involved, and do a couple of calcs yourself to work out what is the appropriate conductor size to use.

FWIW, I have oftgen resorted to 2.5mm2 conductors for panels that were expected to cope with ~50m or so at 24VDC, but this was after doing the calcs....

How about looking it up yourself and then report back here with your findings? We've done enough of our own homework in the past without compensation. The web is a good source for the information you are seeking.

Cable requirement for power or control has to be chosen as per relevant codes.
CONTROL CABLES: BS :6346:1989

CONTROL CABLES - As per Indian standard IS:1554 (part -1)-1988

Go through these standards

British Standard 7671 applies, again <sigh>. It is possible that the cables will be over-rated to give additional mechanical support and only the client standard being worked to will state this.

CR4 is adverse to having communications by email. So are many readers, this one included.

your size of control wire depends on the ratings of the panel control devices or components to be wired. Check their current ratings.

However,in most cases, cable size of 1mm² and 1.5mm² have been used for control wiring in LT Panel works.

Well, if it isn't long enough, then how do you expect it to connect onto the terminals?
