I went on a garden tour and a lady with superb vegetables was making aerated compost tea in a 5 gallon bucket. She was using an aquarium bubble pump above the bucket to pump air bubbles in to aerate it. So you throw a shovel of compost in the bucket and let it bubble for a few days and then dilute the "tea" to water your vegetables. I thought it would be nicer if it was all automatic. So I made my own version that pumps water from the bucket straight up into a compost bin, (airlift pump, my design) and lets it drip through and back into the bucket. It has only been a couple of weeks but I can already see the improvement in my vegetables. And this can produce a massive amount of compost tea and pretty easily too. I think it can also make compost tea from a pile of leaves or weeds or a pile of lawn mowings. Just so long as the drip drains back into the bucket, it should work. I really like that it is aerated because that keeps the pathogens out. Video is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN6f8Eveobo
