Porsche Assembly Plant, I was going to say in Stuttgard, but I believe its in Leipzig,... (in Leizig they produce Cayenne, Panamera and Macan bodies).

Those bodies may be 911's then it would be in Zuffenhausen.

Nope. It is an assembly line, with a "fault" alarm going off.

I have to agree,.... they even have one robot manager to the right..... but, I don't see a coffee cup in his hand though.

If you look closely, the manager robot has a permanent crook in its index finger. The cup is being filled with hydraulic fluid off camera.

Another question, Why do robots need windows, or even lighting for that matter?

The robot manager needs to see the slackers on the production line.

It's the reason for this; http://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/holden-shutdown-general-motors-international-boss-stefan-jacoby-says-australia-is-better-without-car-manufacturing/story-fnjwucvh-1227183680228

and this; http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2012/07/ford-to-shut-down-australian-manufacturing-in-2016/

and this; http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-02-10/toyota-to-pull-out-of-australia-sources/5250114

Oz is too small, too far away and too expensive to support a manufacturing industry, apparently. Nothing to do with governments being too short sighted, too lazy and too miserly to train our youth and promote our industry.

On a personal note, i would love to have been able to programme one of these 5 axis robots. The first time i got to see one close up i was already over 60 and not considered for training. We use both Rhino and PowerMill to produce an end product that is a one off. Both of these are too expensive for me to buy and try to learn at home and so i have to say this technology passed me by.
