Too gray and small to see, but it might show why 45 degree elements show up in shear stress diagrams.

Hello hon!! It's so nice to know I've been missed...

It's the boys...they keep me busy in the PM lounge. The squibble has been quiet, so I've been able to get out a bit lately.

How've I been? Well...<deep breath>...in the last 3 years....made redundant out of work 6 months did some courses got offered a job that involved teaching got the first level of teaching adults qualification got offered a new engineering job moved halfway across country, so now only 40 mins from family rather than 3.5 hours Dad died Loving job Glad to be talking to you lot again

Re: My Homework

Wow! A lot has happened in the elapsed time! I have joined the squibble and others in the land of facebook, many bathers are there but not all (some have gone farther off the deep end while the rest languish in the middle).

I completed an internship at a powerplant where they treated me as any other plant engineer and I found, managed and completed my own projects plus what they asked me to do. I was sad to leave the job but glad to move also. I tried to find work close to family but wound up much further south than I would like.

I am very sorry to hear of your father, I have no words to ease the loss of a parent. My only advice is to tell stories about him to anyone who will listen :-)

I am currently working in manufacturing where we make peristaltic pumps and shaded pole motors.

I have had a recent expansion of my family, a baby boy born only 10 days ago!

I am still writing and hope to get published someday, but will continue writing either way.

I had not looked at how my story had done on Amazon for ages and was pleasantly surprised over the holiday to see I got a 4 star review by a slightly offended Methodist! I am not terribly confident what brand of person a Methodist is but being slightly offended means the story made them feel something and they still liked it enough for 4 stars!

I can think of at least one judge that let a cop killer go in NYC that matches the description above. I think Bo Dietl would really like to "choke the living daylights...".

Can't say as I would blame him, heck I might give him the clap for it.

Do you ever notice that none of the judges that release defendants with a history of multiple felonies back into the general public, without taking personal responsibility for the consequences of such releases, leaving the general public to continue to pay the ''toll'' of such (judicial largess) ?...

Would such a judge make the same decision to release such a defendant if that same judge could release that defendant only into the judge's personal custody?...

Does the phrase ''obvious threat to society'' mean anything to such a judge?...

Re: My Homework

Better than that, just let the perp out in the judge's front yard, arm him, and wait around for the final result.

Did you hear about the police chief who was forced to resign after he posted about "Black Lives Matter Organization" being a terrorist organization, and one of the leaders told him directly that police do not have the same rights as ordinary citizens (Freedom of Speech for one).

I am thinking this: blacks lives (or any other life) do not matter when you are dead. So we all better start living right now, because days go by, and no time stands still for no man.

Re: My Homework

By any chance do you have the formulae to calculate stress magnitude when dealing with upper management on their inability to understand basic structural or electrical limitations?

Or maybe heading home on I10 or 60 during rush hour?

Maybe somewhere there is formulae to calculate the "beer-to-stress" or "wine-to-stress" or "golf-to-stress" ratio required to alleviate said built up stress?

I will report on my opinion after negotiating it a few times and watching traffic...I still think a proper round-a-bout is the best solution.

They're way to liberal for Texas anyway.

So, have all those empty Wal Marts been filled up with prisoners since Operation Jade Helm has concluded???

I remember Texas as being clearly marked as "unfriendly" on all the operational maps.

I am not sure about prisoners (and I seldom darken the doorway of Wal-Mart) with orange jump suits practicing the "perp" walk, but I am very certain of a plethora of customers there (even in wonderful Texas) who are exceedingly fashion-challenged.
