Hi. Just an Introduction.

12/26/2015 2:10 PM

Hey. Nathan here.

IM starting my part time Batchelors Degree in engineering I February and looking to network and surround myself with other engineers and other likeminded people.

I have also looking to become part of a local rocketry club as well as I feel this will aide my learning and make it fun at the same time, along with meeting other engineers working in the fields I am looking to go into.

I am looking to specialise in either aerospace or mechanical with an eye of working in a space agency in the end if possible.

I hope I enjoy being here and will no doubt learn alot from everyone on here and maybe one day I can add value as well.

Thanks

Nathan

OK, though that is not what CR4 is for.

Do feel free to chime-in on posts.

Can't see why it can't be. It would make this site an even better resource in my opinion, but I have only just joined the forums.

Thanks for the comment though.

I see no problem with this thread.

Its in topic as I am talking about starting my engineering degree and no doubt i'll be posting "techinical" threads in time.

Not sure if I'd want to use this forum anyway, some people aren't very welcoming.

Welcome of course

You should use the "reply" button. Otherwise, no one knows to whom you are responding.

No offense.

Hi Nathan,

I've read the other posts. As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with hanging here, asking pertinent questions, and chiming in on threads that you feel you can add to.

As far as networking, there are other sites that are better, such as LinkedIn.

Your personal profile is something that can help as well. When you edit your personal profile, you can create your own biography, letting readers know your interests, and what is prompting you to go into engineering.

The anonymous poster (AP) was, I believe, a regular poster here, but did not reveal their identity because they didn't want us all to know that they were being harsh at criticizing your spelling. The fact that they posted anonymously reveals that they thought it was wrong to do so.

As we learn more, we get better at what we do. Engineering, by it's very nature, is very exacting. Communication in this area needs to be so as well. I spend extra time to proofread what I've written before I send it to see if it will make sense to those I am sending it to.

Don't let some of the people here bother you. Keep trying. Keep improving. That's what it's all about, right?

Welcome to CR4!

Welcome Nathan, In my mind it's all about free speech. So taffy, mix in and speak your mind.
