Membrane Diffusers

Is it possible to make my own simple membrane diffuser , actually I'm trying to start a project and i don't want it to cost much because it might fail

What size? As big as a breadbox, or as small as a house? How much air - 2 CFM, 2K CFM?

I really enjoyed my time in R&D (wreck & destroy).

I wonder if this will work, crunch, bang, ooopps. OK, maybe it needs a bit of tweaking.
