<...Could you share...views...>

Sure. Pick up the phone and discuss the problem with the equipment vendor. If it turns out that the instrument is the wrong size, then there are three possible outcomes:

  1. If the vendor selected the instrument based upon the supplied data, then it is the vendor's problem.
  2. If <...We...> selected the instrument based upon the supplied data, then it is <...We...>'s problem.
  3. If the Client gave the wrong data as a basis for selection, then it is the Client's problem.

Yes, we have discussed with our vendor they replied the instrument will work perfectly if you applied the flow 8000 lbs/h which was provided by client.

That was mistake by client with unit they were need to mention 8000kg/h not LBS...

Then run away laughing. Then obtain quotes for the correct unit based on the correct, revised, conditions, and give the Client a price for putting it all right. Simple!

In an ideal world perhaps - from 25 years experience I KNOW the Client will never get charged for this. Someone in the sales department will be concerned about future business, and <...We...> will bear the cost even if the Client was wrong.

Sometimes <...We...> can get the vendor to eat the costs, but even that is tough to do. They are very adept at finding something questionable in supplied data for sizing even if they goofed. Most times it is <...We...> that has to bite the bullet and pay for changes.

If <...We...> continue to do business with a Client that doesn't pay, then <...We...> would do better to find alternative Clients that do, before there is no <...We...> that can do business.

Better tell our sales department.

Actually, compared to a whole process system, one flow meter is chump change. What is a thousand or so compared to a million dollar charge?

Now if that part the OP is concerned about is the entire project, then you make the customer pay if you can.
