IR Flame Detector Part Search

02/23/2016 6:54 PM

It may be a long shot but one never knows unless asking.

I am trying to find a replacement part for the Det-Tronics X3301 IR flame scanner. There are 3 sensors and the marking on each sensor/detector is as follows;

2302 007

2302 008

2302 009

They are a 4-pin IR (Infra Red) detector. Can anyone help me track these parts? I tried Mouser, Digikey, Farnell (E14), RS Comp. to no avail. I fear it may be a proprietary part.

I don't know if this will get you any closer:

X2200 UV Flame Detector :: Det-Tronics

www.det-tronics.com/.../FlameDetection/pages/x2200uvflamedetector.as...The evolution continues with the X2200 UV Flame Detector. Approved to FM 3260 (2000), the X2200 meets the most stringent requirements worldwide with...

If this is on a boiler, amy replacement parts may need to be exact like-for-like; or maybe some kind of recertification could be needed.

I probably could have worded it better...

I have the X3301 where one of the 3 sensors is stuffed and would need it replaced. They look like a TO-18 package. They require the whole unit to be sent in. But being an engineer I like to pull things apart and work out the issue and fix it myself.

I pretty sure they don't offer these parts to owner operators because of the certification demands....just because you can do it, doesn't mean you are certified to do it kind of thing....once the sensor section is opened it needs to go through the certification procedure again...

yeah...that makes sense. Considering that it is a hazard detector, it would require some 'body' to certify it's doing what it's supposed to do.

Mine unfortunately is not in service. Just on a test bench for demo purposes.

That part is still sold by Detector Electronics.

It is UL Listed and FM Approved. Any repair by other than factory would void the listing.

Detector doesn't see fire and fire burns down facility = he/she who made repair gets bill.
