Location of Snubber or Pulsation Dampener

I have been using Pressure gauges with Snubber/ pulsation dampener for Pressure measurement at discharge of pump to reduce fluctuation.

Can any one pls. suggest ideal recommended location of Snubber or Pulsation Dampener is before or after manifold in pressure gauges?

Decision or suggestion ?

To avoid pressure oscillations which could reduce device life you should think that you have to put in series between the source and the device a resistor and a compliance. This will build a low pass filter for the pressure waves. Both elements have to be matched to the frequency of the source and the requested dynamics of your measurement.
