Flame Detector

Dear,

I want to check the orientation for the flame detectors which are installed in my gas plant. Hope without gps device i can't check that. For this purpose which device i need to use?

you can if sensors are wireless or ethernet connected with corresponding IP set. MIT researchers even plot using electromagnetic field.

Flame detectors have a cone of vision. The device is most sensitive directly on axis, and becomes less sensitive as you move off axis.

A rule of thumb is 50% sensitivity at 45 degrees off axis.

Therefore, if the detector is placed in a ceiling corner and rotated down and out 45 degrees, the whole plant is covered.

The data sheet for the device will describe effective distance, which varies by the intensity of ultraviolet or infrared radiation the device is designed to detect.
