Custody Meter - Bi-Directional Prover Loop Recalibration

03/02/2016 3:33 AM

Dear Sirs,

Custody transfer metering for crude oil application with bi-directional prover loop

Good day. I would like to know what scenario warrant recalibration of bi-directional prover loop other than 2 yearly regular prover loop calibration.

As of now I know that we have to recalibrate prover loop if any work done on detect switches. Or issue with prover etc..

My question is to know: if we take out the sphere from the loop for inspection or replacing of the sphere warrant recalibration of the prover ??

Kindly assist to advice.

Thanks and best regards

What does the manufacturer say? Have you even talked to them?

Hi thanks , Manufacturer says re-calibration of prover loop is not needed if we replace the sphere, I mean there is no reference in API in this regard as per them. Hence I like to check in this forum to see what is the practice in industry?

thanks and best regards
