My take too......

They even made a 12 cylinder version too called a "W", fitted in the "VW Phaeton" I believe.

The cylinders were so packed together to make either engine as small as possible.

The VR-6 was a great, but thirsty, engine....never driven the W-12 sadly....

Its a VW engine, which gets sold to other Manufacturers of cars.

Bentley is only one of the purchasers. So that Bentley is not really the right answer.

BSR got it right in Post#1 I believe....

thanks, I had no idea Germans looked at computer screens written in the English language on their engine assembly line of their 600 HP double turbocharged engine, I thought the German Version was 444 HP, thanks for clearing that up.
