If the spacecraft were much closer to Pluto, the Sun's image would be totally blocked. If the spacecraft were much farther from Pluto, Pluto would appear as a small dot in front of the Sun.

It could be a worthwhile exercise to calculate how far away from Pluto the spacecraft is to enable this image. Next time some student asks for a project....
