For pities sake I hope not
If he does it will be noisy and irreparable except by trial and error, as the help line will just say it must be taken it to their "qualified service agent"...
Production will be moved to foreign shores and any parts from the first model will be incompatible with the last...
The bloke is a pillock.

Dyson made an advertising feature of the number of prototypes he went through to make his first vacuum cleaner, but to those of us who make a living designing stuff, it just showed he did not appreciate the value of doing the maths and using CAD. He then went on to add a ball joint to equipment operated by people with WRISTS!...??? Not quite as bad as Gillette putting a "wobbly bit" between my wrist (the worlds most versatile robotic manipulator) and my face (a contoured plain covered with touch sensors and connected to the manipulator by a great CPU), but it comes close. Don't worry about Dyson producing a battery car. Cars are more complex and expensive to develop than vacuum cleaners, he will probably go bust at around the six hundredth prototype.

..and somehow there will be an even better model each year. In other words the one I got the previous year is not the tops. Maybe he'll do a Sinclair.

I'm at a loss for words on this.

The village idiot engineer wannabe can't make a vacuum cleaner that works despite it being a century plus old very well understood concept so he figures Electric Vehicles ......

As I said, At a loss for words here.

Why knock his idea. Everyone is on the band wagon and getting free money to pursue the 'environmental clean up' at tax payers and Jo Public's costs.

If the vehicle manufacturers can become involved in battery technology why should Dyson be excluded from vehicle manufacture. There are plenty companies creating electric cars and running a car on compressed air, has been done. (Nitrogen actually and done by Peugeout Citreon and will be on the market this year).

I say good luck to him in getting his GBP16m grant, after all, it is the tax payers money and they will not complain and Dyson will still get the tax breaks and profits. They are just smart in using your tax money to tell you that you are wrong in using fossil fuels for your vehicle. They will soon enough change to hydrogen cells and obtain further grants.

Obviously a profitable market is the USA.

The top EV-ready cities in the United States offer a broad range of inducements to encourage the uptake of plug-in vehicles.
