Agreed. Hence the need to put them someplace else. (I'm of the golf is a good walk spoiled persuasion, but then the only time I tried it, it was in a hellish place.)

I've only golfed twice in my life. Both were unit golf tournaments, one at Ft. Meade with the 902d and the other was at a course near Harriman, NY when I was faculty at Hudson High for Boys. Fun, but I have too many other expensive, time consuming hobbies to add golf to it. Wouldn't be good for my blood pressure either.

Golf is a great game, if you approach it correctly.

Instead of spending a thousand dollars on clubs, buy a set of cheap clubs and take lessons with the money you saved on the clubs.
