This is what happens when you push just a little too hard on the pedal. No guard rails here, just walls. The blue paint on the tires came off the wall. Damn, that was fun!

Maybe the flat tire gets great grip, albeit squirrely.

One gets a sinking feeling when they turn the steering wheel to the left and the car keeps drifting to the right. The tire was intact, right up until I hit the wall.

The ambulance ride was fun. The paramedic was very pretty.

I had insurance. It had a $1,000.00 inclusive deductible limit. Payable before leaving the track.

I'm the only person I know who has ever wrecked a $100,000.00 race car.

It was worth it to me for the once in a lifetime experience.

Glad to hear you came out of that OK. I did the Keith Code superbike school up at NH Motor Speedway in Loudon back in '92. That was a sphincter exercise coming down off the back straight (front?) at 120+ braking into a hard left hander onto the road course portion of the track. All I had was some cowskin between me and the wall and the tarmac.

The ring's record holder for street legal cars is held by a virtually unknown small British maker, Radical, and the car was driven from the UK factory to the track in Germany when it set the record.

They hold the top 2 positions, the Porsche is 3rd.

Besides the fact that Radical's 2nd place record has stood for 10 years and their 1st place has stood for 6 years, there are surprises further down the list, for example, Mclaren, with all their racing history can't do better than 6th place?

I doubt you'll ever see that mentioned in their Press releases :)
