It is very rare that an existing power distribution node can be easily and safely modified to prevent corona losses. IMHO Most of the times a significant corona loss happens at a station when the initial designers of an installation underestimate future weather conditions that will happen at a switching station. One may be able to use more appropriately designed insulators and corona rings to retrofit at a specific location when initial designs are insufficient. At the same time, simple tree triming can solve many problems.

Spellcheck would be a good start.

I don't use a spelling checker.

  1. Reduce the voltage.
  2. Increase the separation of the conductors.

Sheesh.
