Haven't you watch "Fear The Walking Dead?" That's the predicted aftermath of the zombiepocalypse - the military is going to bomb LA and burn it to the ground to start the outbreak. First episode this season starts with LA on fire. Better plan to be out of the zone marked as above when it comes.

No - I missed that - the bombing doesn't work - it is still full on zombiepocalypse - just a bit crispier version than the east coast variety.

I know it is but on Los Angeles it was intended to prevent the outbreak from getting any further than Los Angeles. It was still in it's beginning stages and they bombed all the major cities. I also don't think it would have driven them out, the walkers would have been attracted to the fire. All the walkers that they are coming across are those that turned outside the city limits. That's why it seems foolish to think that Mexico is a safe zone. If that was an election year, you'd hear the candidates say that it was illegals that brought the zombie virus to the US.

LA is laced with faults.shakers are a daily thing in Calif. but we do have an enormous fault known as San Andreas. one day it will rip again. it has for thousands of years. millions of people will be impacted for a long time.

pressures continue to build, there is no "blow off valve" it will snap and slip at some point as one plate slides past the other a few inches or feet.....and it will be devastating

I saw the report San Andreas fault 'locked, loaded and ready to roll' and recognized the image. Didn't think it needed that much spelling out.

Those bands to the west that confused me have to be breakdowns in the model. Right? What kind of geology would account for clear lines like that?
