Because that's not the 'Flying Tigers'. Flown by American Volunteer Group (AVG)

Basically paid mercenaries that was recruited and fly for Claire Lee Chennault. And contracted by China for their defense.

Gregory "Pappy" Boyington from the more known "Black Sheep Squadron" initially flew with them before he 'transferred' to the marines
