Can Not Import Pictures

05/19/2016 11:07 AM

Need a little assistance here,...

A few weeks ago, I lost the ability to import pictures here on CR4, as will as inserting emojicons and edit Hyperlinks.

Also, when I first do a post (link this) and I hit my first return (to start a new line, and just the first return) I get prompted if I want the webpage to access my clip board.

Is there I setting that I inadvertently hit that would allow me this.

Hi phoenix911,

What platform (phone, desktop, Ipad)?

What browser? Did you switch browsers recently?

It started on Windows 7 a few weeks ago (2,3 or 4weeks, I can't remember) , and just last week I got a new computer that had windows 10, could do it on that either... Which by the way, my hard drive may have crashed this morning, So I got my old lap top.

I was using the regular MS browsers and at sometimes chrome.

Never could do it on any apple products.

Actually my new computer is Window 7 Pro and not Windows 10, that's how it was shipped. A lot of our companies software isn't compatable to Windows 10

A lot of the time I have problems with pictures using Chrome with Win 7. I can display it in the "edit" window, but when I submit it, I get a broken link. My work around is to use the Snipping tool, save the image, and then use that local file as the image in the camera tool. It's annoying, but I'm getting use to it.

at our company some of the software does not work very well on chrome... java and the likes... as well as incompatable to Windows 10.

It's annoying, but I'm getting use to it.

Annoying huh?, I just heard that Microsoft just announced that being annoyed by Windows is now a Windows Standard.

Actually we're on Windows 7 pro and can't upgrade to 10 because our current software is incompatible to it... But time is coming...

I've had those symptoms for a while... 6 month or so, prolly longer.

My workarounds:
Hyperlinks I create in M$ Word and copy over to CR4.
The CR4 emoti's I call up the menu, hover over the one I want and right click/copy, close the drop down, then paste.

"...and I hit my first return... access my clip board." It seems to matter not what I select. Dunno, I just ignore it.

that how I was doing it,

I'm going to try pasting a picture in MS Word with beginning and ending text and cut/clip it here see what happens.

This is a test

End of test

At first it copied with the picture, but when I "preview comment", the picture is replaced with some type of place holder with an Boxed X.

I am not seeing the picture, just an outline with a little icon in the top left corner. Did you paste the picture directly into the CR4 editor without using the camera icon?

Me too. I've never had any luck using IE or FF with just pasting an image into the editor. I always have had to use the camera icon tool.

When I first pasted it, the picture came through. When I 'Preview Comment', That what I got also.

Did you paste the picture directly into the CR4 editor without using the camera icon?

Yes, I copied into MSWord, added beginning and ending text and then copy-clipped it from MSWord and pasted it directly here.

I can provide some more information about this.

Copying and pasting an image into the text editor doesn't work.

Some users have been experiencing the same difficulties that you are reporting - nonworking image insertion, emoticons, symbols, etc.

The best advice I can give you right now is to try a different web browser.

We are working on something that should help improve the performance of the toolbar so people have a better experience no matter which browser they are using.

But I was desperate.... ;-)

I'll try a different browser
