Just another in a long line of dangerous stunts a person thinks up and tries and then other people watch and try themselves. Things like this have been going on looooong before the internet and social media. Cannot stop people being people. Kudos on the media for really getting it out there in the public eye. "Don't do this!", yea right.

Anyone remember when car surfing while taking selfie videos was all the rage?

Before FB there was the general internet, and before that there was word of mouth and watching friends do it. The media was always there to help bring it to the masses on a slow news day, be it TV, radio or print.

Oh, hell. Back in the 70's during the wintertime in New England we would sneak up and grab the back bumper of the car at a stop sign and go 'skid-hopping'. Now admittedly, the speeds on snow covered (you hope ) roads were slower, but the concept was the same. Of course if there was a bare spot in the road you would go ass over teacups. Pure word of mouth transmission of that vector.

You gonna give me an announcement of your party, and then tell me I can't come? Good grief, what a disgusting coward.

It's just Darwinian selection in action.

Unfortunately, it affect other people and puts others in danger. If there's not a law against it, there should be. If there is, it should be enforced. A highway is no place for games.

If the guy lets go, you can pick him up with your Google sticky-hood, if so equipped.

Most of the risky stuff I did as a kid more than 50 years ago is either against the law or the materials are banned from sale to the public. It would be hell to restock my chemistry set today.

Thus, these kids are gonna find new ways to work off those naturally programmed testosterone surges. As I recall from personal experience they rule heavily over common sense.

At one time killing a lion was your route to manhood. That's slightly frowned upon nowadays, even for Maasai tribesmen.

Famous last words:

Style A: "Hold my beer and watch this!"

Style B: "Hold my Mt. Dew and watch this, dude!"

Lats get the certificates and statuettes ready, looks like another season of Darwin Awards is upon us.
