It's probably less than ½" from top to bottom. In "the original" it's pictured next to a Russian coin which I don't recognise or know the size of.

If I misinterpret this properly, it looks like a piece out of some decorative jewelry. I see threads at the top. The images in vertical columns appear to be painted or perhaps tapestry and the base material appears to be bone, stone or shell.

Maybe it's a treasure map!
