It has a virtual reality look. How about it doesn't really exist but it is an artist's conception of a city (or a city from a movie).

Japanese city skylines are amazing. Plus they have forever ruined U.S. trains for me. Once you've ridden on the Japanese rail system, you can never enjoy Amtrak again.

Did you get any of the ones where pushers shove you in so they can close the doors?

HA! I had seen those on some news video about commuter trains in Tokyo!

We actually had assigned seating in wide cars, Kobe to Kyoto. Travel almost felt like I was on an airplane - but MORE room (and it was perfectly on time!)

Oh, Oh, Oh, Osaka! Specifically the Kita district, which is the area surrounding Umeda station. Judging by the angle of this photo, it was likely taken from the Umdea Sky Building, one of Osaka's most recognizable buildings consisting of two 40-story towers that connect at their 39th and 40th stories by the "Floating Garden Observatory," a wide atrium-like space between the two buildings.
