	Dear all, I have a DC Shunt in my rectifier system with output 100Amp & read as 0-60mVolt,can read positive & negative current.I want to make input analog for my controller (using PLC,Programmable Logic Controller) which can read analog input 0-5Vdc.How can i make a tranducer or comparator to have the output from DC shunt 0-60mV change to 0-5 Vdc which can accomodate the positive current (charge) & negative (discharge current from battery) & can be use as analog input for my PLC Anyone can help me please? 	What is needed is a galvanically-isolated amplifier. 	If you want top diy it sounds like a job for a couple of opto isolators and an op amp or two.... (Sorry my enthusiasm runs out about here... 	Is you PLC a fixed block type with only 0/5 volt analogue inputs is is it the rack type with plug-in I/O cards? If the latter then most PLC's have a thermocouple input card available, most thermocouple cards nowadays are isolated input type. You can then scale the PLC bit count to suit your 0/60mV input range. I have done this application and it works OK. If its the fixed 0/5V input type then you can get an isolator/convertor from www.amelec.ltd.uk
