I wish to no the electric

08/07/2007 1:09 PM

Please, inform me as to the function of the electic. In intimate detail so that I may fully understand.

All kidding aside, I post this because I find it amusing that so many people post vague open-ended questions like this. One complaint I have about this forum is the lack of need for registration. I think there should at the very least be a requirement that first time posters read and acknowledge the "Rules of Posting" at http://cr4.globalspec.com/faq#faq14a Especially the first 2 bullet points.

You should have said...

"I done good in English, I did, at school."

Never forget the double affirmative!

That would make a nice cartoon picture. Is that famous headless chicken still alive ? That's an extreme way of not getting harnessed. Jodhpurs and 'pinks' look a bit sweaty to me. Wouldn't you just love to be a fox with a machine gun. " Tally Oh... !"

is it "Tally oh!" or "Tally ho!" or "Tally howe" as in we've got to tally up who owes what?

The "Tally Oh" was a deliberate joke, sending up the traditional "Tally Ho". Sort of anagrammatically alluding to the possibility of prats on horses, jumping a hedge to find the tables had turned. Gawd do my jokes fall flat.
