Silicon Valley Fashion Week

I'm fascinated with the ways traditional women's wear designers (e.g. Ralph Lauren) and anything-but-traditional designers approach wearable technology. Some stuff is just silly -- but a lot of couture designs strike me as equally outre' and even more unwearable. The second annual Silicon Valley Fashion Week showcased a lot of experimental wearables along with drones delivering mixed drinks. I liked the necklace that is also a set of headphones (see linked article for a picture). Very practical.

Are you sure about that? Please tell me the joke had nothing to do with barnyard animals. Mine are pretty sensitive about their appearance, even the dogs.

I'm sure the question is about Silicon Valley, described from somewhere around SFO airport to somewhere around Milpitas, as suburbs around San Francisco bay. I'm not even mentioning San Francisco.

Neither suburbs nor engineers are renowned for being fashionable in particular by buoying tomboy x, and practicality is still prized over elegance in a society dominated by suburban engineers. Outdoor sportswear, whatever is available this season at Tarject, and the ability to avoid iron or sealed washing at all costs are stylistic factors.
