You need a sonic screwdriver to fix a Mark VI TARDIS console. A basic guide can be found below.

These things are almost as temperamental as a Cavalier so consider upgrading. If it is the Chameleon circuit acting up, forget it that thing never worked properly on the Mark VI.

Well that is what immediately sprang to my mind when only Mark VI was mentioned.
