Monitor/Camera Advice and Recommendations

11/16/2016 10:28 AM

I have a desktop with a small monitor and no camera. I'd like to upgrade to a new monitor, around 24", HD, with a good camera for Skyping. I can't find much online; most monitors lack a camera. The few I've found are old designs dating back to 2010 or so. I'd like your advice and recommendations. Should I instead look for separate monitor and camera? Or is there an integrated unit you like?

And what camera specs are important?

I used to use the desktop and separate aftermarket camera for this....but although it seems like a good idea, it's not for most people, and gets old fast....I just use my phone now...

Snowden says be careful with that all-seeing and hearing thing, somebody might be watching and recording you without you knowing it. I use a band aid for that unnecessary sort of things when not in use.

Buy the best monitor you can afford, but without camera.

Then buy a quality clip on camera. One that you can clip anywhere!

You will spend less money and if properly done, you will have far better quality in both items.

Furthermore, if one goes wrong, you still have the other one in a working condition!!
