It's business speak for "can understand and follow instructions if required to without having to be beaten repeatedly and regularly with a 2x4 plank and watched like a hawk by someone we actually trust".

This sort of jargon is commonly used for job descriptions and applications.

<...Follows processes to achieve goals...> So it's a job for a football player, then?

If the process were "to write crap", then it would appear that the post is already filled.

Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks with little ingenuity,

I do believe they are looking for someone with the IQ of a cat. Well...maybe less than a cat - mine have a fair amount of ingenuity.

I think they actually teach this type of prose in college. How'd you like to write that every day? No - not write that - write like that.

I have a dilemma with this!! You're in Michigan and cannot find an automotive engineer to design ad fabricate wiring harnesses!!

How many do you need? What complexity?

I know some Australian manufacturers with capacity.

There are several UK suppliers that would jump at opportunities to make and export wiring harnesses, especially with the $USD/£GBP exchange rate as it is.

The job spec need to include.
The applicant should have the ability to make sense of this illiterate garbage:-

" Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks with little ingenuity, originality with detailed instructions or immediate supervision"
It makes no sense.
A design engineer with little ingenuity or originality isn't IMO a design engineer.
