May you please provide me a brief explanation of what a “Cold start compressor” (Compresor de Arranque en Frío) is?

Thank you,

It is for providing pressurized air into a cold ICE (such as diesel), fuel pump then only needs to inject the fuel up near a glow plug, and then off you go.

A cold start compressor, otherwise known as a ( Black start compressor ) is used to charge the air tanks, when no power is available to compress air.

Once an air tank is charged, a generator set can be started and then electricity is available to run the electric compressors. Usually used on drill rigs.
