02/06/2017 8:49 AM

Hello Folks,

i want to manufacture some Stainless Steel 316TI Fittings, where in i am required to forge the round bar, the specification for round bar is ASTM A479, when i checked the forging standard ASTM A182, i could not find 316TI in it, so now which spec shall i follow to make these fittings.

Thanks

The spec(ASTM A182) is for SS which is 316TI which is SS with Ti as a stabilizer. Do you know the forging process?

I keep seeing people who have no knowledge or experience in a field attempting to produce a product which is beyond their capabilities.

Nothing intended but the forging of 316Ti requires a different process than Cs.

Explain your various standards in use and why you use them, and I will suggest to you a course of action.

Apparently, you need to learn more about Ti added alloy in forged fittings.

What makes you think you could comply with any such specification, no matter what it is?
