DIY "Caption this" as the last official one was posted but immediately driven into exile by a gaggle of Engineering360 Newsletter yawners.

IIRC, Eiffel's resume includes the frame for the Statue of Liberty.

Yes. He was quite accomplished. The observatory in Nice is also of his design.

Eiffel also had an apartment high up in the Eiffel tower. It's still there and preserved in its original condition.

Could you image having a flat like that? It would be awesome but I'd never get my gf up there - she's terrified of heights.

I've never thought to look it up, thinking it was not a 'real' word. Ah well, ewe learn something knew every day. Perhaps I should start spelling it 'pfuque.' In honour of the denizens of a nearby town called "Pflugerville." Lotz o' pfeasant pluquers there.

I think we may have seen a You-Tube video about that on CR4. I'll see what I can find by Googling "tower crane assembly".

A souper hoot! just a few days ago I was verbally trying to explain the concept to my brother without resorting to the internet.

I never heard someone say "What!?" so many times in a row.

..It's a good one to keep in the pocket for the right occasion.

Haven't seen too many old bulls chomping away at large diameter wire ropes lately have we?
