Wiper for Potentiometer

I am looking for a company who produces multi contact wiper (punched or multi wire wiper) for potentiometer.

Please give me information about this.

If the information isn't forthcoming elsewhere, replacing a potentiometer is a relatively simple operation. In the UK they can be purchased for less than £5GPB.

Why would you want a multi-contact wiper? For precision work the contact material is precious metal and if you had multicontacts you could never calibrate accurately where the position of the wiper was on the track...

I suppose for cheap end work it would be useful to have a reliable contact methos such as multiwiper but then you might as well go for replacement or redesign as a preferable option...

Contact any company like RS, Farnells for catalogue or CD.

Normally Wire-wound Pots have a smulti-contacts slider with wire soldered to centre-piont.

But mind no company sells sliders only.

Such components are either manufactured by Co. or from petty manufacturers to assemle compos like Pots.
