RTCC means Remote Tap Change Circuit and OCTC means Off Circuit Tap Changer.

Is phoning the <...RTCC panel...> manufacturer about it completely off the agenda, then?

For those not familiar, how about explaining why?

With an on load tap changer there is no interruption in the current flow during the operation of the switch. Operating an off load changer while on load would break and make the current flow and most likely destroy the switch and the transformer.

Off load tap changers are normally padlocked in a set position to stop anyone interfering with them. Off load settings are usually -5% -2.5% 0% +2.5% +5%
