Water Level Contoller Kit

09/04/2007 10:20 AM

I am mohini joshi, T.Y.B'SC student. I project water level sensors so I would like information about water level contoller kits, applications of each component we use, and why this component is used.

There are many type of water level controller kits depending upon the application

  • Mechanical type normally used to stop over flowing of water where in as soon as Tank is full the mechanical float is lifted thus preventing further water enetering the tank which builds up pressure in the pipe line thus as soon the pressure reaches the maximum in pipe line the pressure switch gives electrical signal to the pump to stop runing it .
  • Electrical type where in you have three or four floats as per the requirement suppose you have two pumps are filling the tank .Then in this case you can have them connected to the tank with three electrical floats(full-half-empty) when the tank is empty in this case you can run both the pump. And when its half filled you can stop either of the pump. When its completely full you can stop both the pumps. You can programme this things an they can work automatically .
  • Ultra sonic type is latest additions where in level is sensed based on the level its sensed based on the distance between the sensor the liquid level .
  • They are many advancement in the level controllers latest are radiographic sensors to measure level from distance for special liquids .

Hope you under stand this or else wise same can be narrated in Marathi..

Water level in dams is measured by blowing air into a piston on the ground. When you measure the pressure in the conduction it is absolute proportional to the water height over ground.

Maybe your next project should be: "how should I ask a question". (This is if you really want an answer.)
