in search of keyboard layouts

i am working with the project associated with input devices to make compact ,

i am in search of computer key board circuit layout and it working ?

Size?

Full alphanumeric?

ABCDEF? QWERTY?

Touch typing or 1 finger?

Interface...std PC or your own hardware or mobile phone or Decravinator Console from the planet Abutiolon?

Remember..you know exactly what you mean...we don't...explain it fully.

Modern keyboards are usually designed around just a couple of chips and the keys themselves, you just need to open one up, order the chips with full infos and get designing!!!

No need to invent wheels.

By the way, Keyboards are almost "throw away" articles today......there is not much profit left I would imagine.....

I agree with earlier post, why would anyone want to re-invent this "wheel"?

There are a host of mfr's that make some very small keyboards. Plug and play.
