I changed the message field and all was well???

While we do support TLSv1 (as well as 1.1 and 1.2) we do not support the weaker ciphers required for exploits like POODLE. We are evaluating dropping TLSv1 altogether soon though as well.

It would be nice if xzi identified himself. I don't remember seeing other posts from him, and with only 25 posts and 1 GA since 2005, no avatars for MOD or Admin, and a rating of associate [meaning unclear], I(we) have no way of knowing whether the entire posting is from CR4, Globalspec, or from someone proving that they can break in...

On one more look, I do see the Like, Tweet, etc., which does seem to give it a bit more credibility.

I don't post much on here that's for sure, however I'm user #48 and have been here from the start. Back then I was a systems administrator working on our websites-- today I am the Director of the Information Systems team and together with our software folks we've been working for a few months on "flipping the switch" to HTTPS and I figured I'd share that with the CR4 community.

Thanks! I have no idea of my user #, but I have been posting regularly for almost 12 years, both giving and getting helpful advice.

Why don't you work on something more important, such as fixing the spam problem?

That’s not something that my team is responsible for and isn’t related to the conversion of websites to HTTPS anyway.

Then can you bump it over to the correct department? (I'm sorry in a way, and don't mean to be personal, but I could press pretty hard on a grievance about the spam matter.)
