Simulation Tool - Simulation of a Circuit To Determine the Speed of Air Pump

04/30/2018 5:40 AM

Hello and congratulations to all for this forum.
I am an electronics engineer but I am currently interested in mechanics for the need of a new project.
I am looking for simulation software that is simple enough to use and ideally free (or free trial). I try to simulate a pneumatic circuit (air) consisting of compressor, solenoid valves and tank. I would like to inform the characteristics of my circuit (diameter, volume, flow ...) and simulate the evolution of the pressure and flow in the circuit in order to determine at the most just the speed of the compressor at the entrance of the circuit
Would you know a tool like this?
Thanks in advance !!

Why not dodge-up something in Excel or Basic (usual disclaimer)?

Thanks PWSlack for your answer.

I understand what you want to say but I'm looking for something visual and with a real-time approach. To do the paralell, in electronics to simulate my electronic scheme I use PSPICE (or other SPICE). I would like to find a similar tool but from pneumatic circuits.

It sounds as though a crash course in S-plane algebra is required.
