Time to Edit a Post...

08/08/2018 2:13 PM

Please consider increasing the time limit from 10 min to 20 min. The current 10 min is just to short of a time period.

Request duly noted -- I'll pass along to the Keeper of CR4 Upgrade requests. This could be a simple change in the program. Thanks!

I usually find my errors in my postings 12 minutes after I post them. Increasing to 20 minutes would help me too.

Only then you will find your errors after 22 minutes. Then what?

It is hard to decide on a "perfect" time limit, but maybe a day would be good, especially if a note is added saying that the post has been edited.

(Amazon Discussions, now defunct, allowed unlimited time for editing, and there were amazing abuses.)

What's the big deal with just making a correction or edit in a second post?

You DO realize that your cavalier actions may well be contributing to global warming!

Every additional post you create causes untold numbers of electrons to thrash around needlessly. That added excitation adds heat to the overall ecosystem.

Add to that your burnouts and you are a menace to society.

Don't forget that very few CR4 readers take the time to properly recycle their ones and zeros.

Agreed, Some of us "Old Farts" cant remember stuff from 5 minutes ago but can dredge up a memory from 1978 with perfect recollection.

I understand the time limit but a little longer of a time span would be quite helpful!!

Changing the allowable edit time to 20 minutes just means I will notice my mistakes in 21 minutes instead of 11.

In seriousness I do like the idea though. 10 minutes is a little tight sometimes.

WARNING! You are only allowed to edit your posts for a limited period after the original posting. That means you must submit your edit by 08/08/2018 3:41:03 PM, which gives you only 14.9 minutes!

You must have a premium account.

Do you get automatic spell check too? And notification of new posts?

Yes, you are special!

I will open the can of worms because others do so, every time they can.

I have the special Conservative account...………….I will leave it at that.

Same here! 15 minutes!

I am not special!

I guess all the ones with 10 minute only and no spell correcting facility are....!
