Is spectacle blind required coating in case of pipeline/ line-pipe is lined?

One of the important functions of the spectacle blind or figure eight is to indicate whether the passage of fluid through the pipe is open or closed. The coating must cover the flanges but not the external extension of the spectacle blind. This is relevant in case of fires with smoke in the environment since it allows viewing from a distance if the flow is open or closed

Mean that the part of spectacle blind (closed) comes in contact with corrosive fluid is required coating.

Whitephone:The coating must cover the flanges but not the external extension of the spectacle blind.

I never respond to anonymity. The external extension is not in contact with the fluid that extension should not be covered by the coating

Yes you're right, we are not going to apply coating over external extension but only at section of Spectacle blind (closed at one side, as shown in Fig.) which comes in contact with corrosive media.
