Ralfativity pt 4: The Doppler Shift Ratio

The doppler shift ratio is far more apparent from the STD for determining relative velocity between Bob and Alice than in the method I showed in pt 3. It depends on Bob and Alice televising their clock readout and daily lives to the universe. (Relativity likes to use the telescope method but that's completely unrealistic.) They both receive each others signals and are able to deduce their relative velocity from these. For example, at .6c separating, they will see each others relative daily motion and time rate at .5c through time. At .6c approaching, they will see that time rate and their televised movements at 2c through time. This is where everyone starts screaming that nothing can go at 2c. Again this is due to the common problem of equating depiction, perspective and reality. Unfortunately, this is a very long discussion and I don't have the time right now to finish.

I think you should be much more aggressive in getting rid of this pest altogether. He spends way more time telling other people how stupid he thinks they are than in expounding his erroneous views.

Your admonition is misplaced, and any number of members here can point to dozens of instances where it would have been appropriate, if that is the standard, not just here. According to ralfcis's biography, he has been unemployed since 2001. You'd think that someone with his astronomical intelligence could have found employment somewhere, if not occupied appearing on Dragons' Den 4 times. Whatever that is.

Natalie, on the other hand had a real problem in 2002 Chevy Cavalier Won't Start After Replacing Spark Plugs, and while constructive suggestions were offered, many were on the order of, "just junk the car, it's worthless anyway."

I'll take sides with Natalie against ralfcis any day.
